Monthly MLK Book Club: Next meeting Tuesday January 9 at 1:30pm at MLK, room 401-G. Led by librarian Peter Costolansk, the group will discuss What the Ermine Saw: The Extraordinary Journey of Leonardo da Vinci’s Most Mysterious Portrait by Eden Collinsworth. Registration page.
The Annual DC Reads (Book 2): Tania James’ Loot was published this past spring to extraordinary praise and is listed on many Best of 2023 lists. Read more and register for the virtual discussion to be held Wednesday January 10, 7 pm. In addition, DCPL will host author James for an in-person program at MLK with two other DC Reads authors, sponsored by PEN/Faulkner Foundation.
The first DC Reads book Creatures of Passage by Morowa Yejide lent itself to a wonderful session. DCPL’s Esti Brennan followed up with an extensive list of resources for questions raised at the discussion.
